Cannot Choose OUTPUT FOLDER

I’ve wasted my time working with a photo for an hour and everytime I try to select an output folder I get a warning that I have not selected one. It seems to want a nested folder but if you try to open a folder to get to the nested photo the app SELECTS it. Then it doesn’t appear to be there. THIS APP IS BROKEN!!! You cannot change the size!!!
